i could of spoke slower and extended on that i said and add examples so that way i would of gotten a better time

my best answer to me is that the sites where created to keep the environment protected

it did not affect my answer because that was the reason why the sites where created in the first place

Interpretive

What I gained from this experience was that I was able to see how the workers wok for example of a spill occurs during work I was able to see how the clean it. But besides that I was able to help around the site to keep things in check

Applied

This helped me with my 2^nd answer to my eq how hazardous material sites protect humans. And I was also able to see the many products that people bring that are harmful to them. 

2 Hour Lesson Plan (Rough Draft)

Sponge activity: I’m going have half of the room dirty and the other half clean and them im going java them write down two questions and put them in a box and answer them.

Introduction:

                What is the most important reason for creating a hazardous material site?

                Important:

                Hazardous material; household hazardous material meaning material used to clean around the house.

                I did my senior project on this because a lot hazardous material is being use and a lot is being disposed off incorrectly and I wanted to know how that affects the way we live now

Plan for the day: I’m going to be going over how household chemicals are harmful the the environment and human body as well.

Foundation: go over what is hazardous material to give them some basic knowledge for my presentation.

Body:

                Answer 1: (how is) house hold hazardous material harmful to non-humans

                                                activity 1: water pollution

                                                                Im going have bowls with water and I am going to have the students in groups add some sort of cleaning material and the have pH sticks to let them find out how much water is affected and polluted.

For my independent task I did the same thing as before help out on saturdays in round ups (sites) and mainly this time i asked more questions to help me out to answer my EQ. This time around helping out i got more information to help me out because i knew what i needed to know or any questions I had. I learned more on how the site help protect the environment and humans as well. The way it helps the environment is so the hazardous waste doesnt end up in the ocean or woods or anything in that sort. The way it protects humans is that they take the hazardous waste so it wont be contaminating or harming them. By going to round ups has helped me a lot because i get to ask questions to people that work in that field and they they have a lot of useful information.

For my independent task my service learning guy let me help out on Saturdays in roundup (sites) and all I basically did because I'm not certified I helped out with the preset up just lay everything out and made sure that everything was in order by category. He also let me watch what happens because sometimes they spill and what they have to do if they do spill. This helped me a lot learning more about hazardous material because I didn't know that if one little property in the material they had to have it separated so when working in the field you have to make sure you always paying attention to your surrounding and make sure you know the material that people are bringing in. This helped me answer my eq witch I'm leaning more towards the environment because i ask the people that i help out and they all say they do it to protect the environment like when they go out to clean in oil spill or any kind of spill so it doesn't pollute the earth.
